QKD DT Blog Challenge #2

Time for the second QKD DT Blog Challenge; and boy, was this a challenge for me. We were supposed to create a no-layer or one layer (at the most) card. Just think -- no patterned paper, no cardstock layers, no embellishments added and added! It was really hard!!!!!

But, I am glad that I had the challenge because I really love the card that I came up with. It didn't turn out exactly the way it was in my mind, but nevertheless, I like it. I used three different stamp sets on it. I used QKD Flower Power, Greetings #3 and a retired set as well.

Some of the other DT gals will have their cards up soon, so you can go see them as well. Check out their blogs:

These girls are so talented and their work rocks!!!!

Flat Tire

Okay, so yesterday, I was going to go scrap. I needed to get out of the house, I needed adult companionship (yes, my dh is great, but it is not the same), I needed my ASF fix. So, I leave, run by WM, pick up stuff for Easter baskets, and head to ASF. On the way there, I heard a pop from the tire; I must have run over something in the road because I end up with a flat tire on the side of the interstate. I call DH and tell him I have a flat. He tells me to call Roadside Assistance because they should be able to get there faster than he could. YEAH RIGHT!

So, I call, after having to wait on hold, the lady tells me that they should be there within an hour. After twenty minutes, DH calls back -- no help from Roadside yet. He then tells me he is on his way. So, after another forty minutes, DH gets there -- quick math -- 1 hour! --- still no Roadside. Get tire changed, takes 30 minutes for that. So, I spent a total 1 1/2 hours on the side on the interstate. Roadside never showed up.

Well after that I was in no mood for anything! I was tired, I was cranky, and after sitting there for an hour by myself, I was scared. You would think that the highway patrol who went by three time would have stopped, nope. Only one person stopped and that was after I had talked to DH and he was just ten minutes away.

Needless to say, I called Roadside back and let them know that the people they had called never showed up. They were going to investigate and find out what happened because they said they could be there in 30 minutes! Also, guess what I got today --- a new tire! GRRRR!!!!

Searching for Spring!

I am so ready for spring; but it just doesn't feel like it yet. Here is a layout that I did today -- used a free mini kit download -- by Lazy Kitty -- love it so much I am going to go get the rest of the kit at Pickleberry.

QKD DT Blog Challenge #1

Okay, some of us on the QKD DT are having a little challenge to get some mojo flowing! I got to pick the challenge for this first challenge, and I went with a color challenge. Love the weekly colors at BPS, so that was where I found my inspiration: the colors were tan, white, gray, red, and black. I used the Queen Kat Designs Flourish Stamps -- which are fab, so if you don't have them, get them now!!

Here's my card for it!

I know that a few other DT gals already had their cards so, so you can go see them as well. Check out their blogs: Nancy Tanis Toni Lindsay and Heidi. They have some great cards there!

Scream It Contest!

This is probably one of the easiest contests to win! All you have to do is love QKD stamps. Don't have any, well, then this is a good thing for you as well, because WE love QKD products and want everyone else to love them as well.

So, here is the basic info: for the month of March (don't you just love March), when you use a incentive code (check out my blog for the code!) you get 10% off your entire order at QKD! What an incentive! Just buy and save and then share the love that you have for QKD stamps! Check out my blog also for a blinkie to put on your blog. If you are caught with the I love QKD stamps blinkie, you could win a prize!

Okay, why should you buy QKD stamps? Because they are made in the USA! Harsh chemicals are not used! What a great combination there! But, that is not it!!! Once you look at the store, you will know why else you should buy QKD stamps! They are wonderful! They have such a wide range of styles/designs to choose from -- from tattoo-inspired to cute monsters to flowers --- you can find it!

This is the blinkie you need to post on your blog to be randomly entered into the monthly draw!

Here is my blinkie which has the discount code for 10% off QKD stamps, but for some reason it is not cooperating! LOL! Wish I could get it to work, but since I can't get it to work, here is the code: ph10 You can take this blinkie and put it on your blog also; add a note about the Scream contest on your blog also! Then leave me a comment that you put the blinkie on your blog and be entered to win a stamping prize!

Have fun shopping!
