QKD Blog Challenge #4

Moving post back up to the top.

You spin me round! Okay, 80's flashback, but this challenge made me think of it! Well, it is time again for the QKD blog challenge: this challenge was set by Nancy, and it definitely was a challenge! We had to create a spinner card. It was so much fun!!! I have tilted the card over and over again, just to see it go spinning across the card. I don't know if I can give it up I love it so much.

The stamp set comes from the Lil' Monsters line: It is Diva Monster

Now, here is my card:

Some of the other DT gals will have their cards up soon, so you can go see them as well. Check out their blogs:

In a Digi State of Mind

I have just been so out of the paper scrapping mood lately, so today since I had some free time, I decided to digi scrap some -- I know some of you are "ugh!" and others of you are "cool" and then there are others who are "okay" but that is if anyone is reading. LOL!!!

So, here is what I did today --

This layout uses the Download of the Day at Divine Digital.

This uses the kit A Day in the Garden by Flergs and Franziska -- Sunshine Studio.

Mixing Patterned Papers Project!

For April, at A Scrappin Friendsy, my assignment was to mix patterned papers. Of course, anyone who knows me, knows that is a problem! I have such a phobia with papers. But for this project, I decided to have some fun. I pulled in two different papers from Creative Imaginations and one paper from Bo Bunny. The Bo Bunny paper was double sided, so that worked well, giving me another shade of blue to work with. Some inking, tearing, and alpha stickers for my title, and my patterned paper project was finished!

This project should have gone out in the April newsletter, but with the board crash, that didn't happen! The board should be up and running soon, so make sure you check in and I will let you know when the big reveal of the new and improved ASF is!

My New Toaster!

This has been one of those years at school -- I have had a parent tell me that all the teachers hate me, another parent berate me for a mistake, teachers angry at me for doing things that I was asked to do by administration, and the list goes on. There have been days when I have been in tears before school even started.

Well, Tuesday I was in tears again, but this time over my seniors. During a conversation during class about advertising and how they try to convince you that you need something, my students asked me what was something that I thought I needed (after I had asked them) and I told them that I wanted a four-slice toaster and a griddle.

Well, about a month has passed since that conversation, and yesterday, my senior class brought me a gift -- yeap, they had bought me a toaster. Here it is:

I love my toaster, and I love my students. Really was something I needed after the year I have had so far, makes it all worth while.

QKD Blog Challenge #3

Wow, how bad is it that I haven't posted to my blog in two weeks! Yikes!!! So much going on and not enough time to post it all, but tomorrow the Queen Kat Designs Blog challenge goes up. And the way my Mondays go, I had better go ahead and post it tonight!

This challenge was a fab sketch by Tanis! I love sketches but it never fails I end up with something a little different than the original sketch. This time I tried to get closer than I normally do!
