Sept. 28 - Special Project Blog Hop!

QKD is blog hopping again!!! You should have started at the QKD blog, hopped along, made it to the Whimsical Ink blog, and now you are here!!!

The challenge this week was to based our project around "Back to School." Being a teacher and having two children in school, I had a couple of ideas, but I ended up a little "off" from my original idea.

Here's the card/holder that I came up with for this week's hop.



So, the "back to school" major element is that I used two brown paper lunch bags to make the card. I cut off the ends of the bags (the folded stand up part) and then sewed the two bags together. For stamps, I thought that Alice was a perfect person to represent "learning," so I used the Little Miss Alice Stamp and the Explore word stamp from the April 2009 Royal Kit; this kit is still available in 6x6 or 12x12.

Sept. 21 QKD Blog Hop

Scary days are ahead -- well, not really, but I love Halloween and was so excited for the September releases and this challenge! It is a color challenge that is Halloween inspired - Any combination of orange, green, purple, black and white. You should have started from the QKD blog and then hopped along to the WIS blog, and now you are here, and here is my card.




I used the Creepy Kids stamp set; can't you tell how much I love this set!!! It is so versatile!! But I also have another card to share with use, using the Halloween Skullies. Shiver me timbers!!

QKD Fall Blog Hop

Fall is in the air… Summer is coming to a close and the weather is changing! Queen Kat Designs cordially invites you to sign up to participate in our first public blog hop. We are inviting all of our friends to join in the fun. The hop will be held on October 7-8th.

If you’d like to join us:
1. Send an email to bloghop@katstamps.com with your first and last name and your blog address. (Sign ups end on October 1st)

2. Make a Fall themed hand stamped card or tag for your blog post.

3. Make a blog post on your blog and set it to post on October 7th at 12:01 AM MST

4. Make sure the blog post stays at the top of your blog until midnight on October 8th so the hop isn’t broken for the hoppers.

5. Between October 1st and 3rd you will be emailed back with the person’s name and blog to hop to after yours. Make sure you add this info to your blog post so the readers know where to go next.

6. Add this blinkie to your blog so others can sign up too.



That’s it! In 6 simple steps you can be on the hop! QKD will send out reminder emails a couple of times before the hop. If you cannot participate please let us know so we can take you off of the hop list.

I used the Creepy Kids Stamp Set again this week. You saw the two stamps that I used last week from the set, and now here is the cute little vampire of the set.

And what was so great was that I used a older QKD Royal Card kit for this project, so I just grabbed everything I needed in one packet! So convenient!
