QKD - Monday Blog Hop

Here it is - Monday! Today's Monday Blog Hop for Queen Kat Designs was to create a banner using QKD stamps. You should have started the hop from the QKD blog and then hopped along and from Jules' blog, you should have hopped to mine.

Okay, back to the challenge for this week. I thought about birthday banners and holiday banners. Since this is Easter week, I seriously considered making a banner for Easter and even thought about using egg shapes for the sections, then it hit me. I wanted something that I would also use more than just once. Then I thought about a banner for my scrap area. This project is so not my normal style, but I absolutely love the finished project!

I used some kraft tags, crumbled them, and inked them up with Tim Holtz distress inks. I also pulled out my Grungeboard and some Prima flowers to connect the tags all together. I started pulling out my favorite QKD stamps to use with the project; while I pulled out more than I ended up using, here are the stamps that made it onto the project. I used a stamp set from a previous Get Inked kit, make sure you have a subscription so you do not miss out on the fun!! I also used the Dressform Stamp, the Fairy Background Stamp, the Light Up the Night, the Child's Play Stamp Set and the Aged Keys Stamp Set

I used the new Bunny Day Stamp Set and some old KI scraps to mimic the designs and colors in the inspiration photo.

QKD Color Hop!

Wow, where has the week gone? I feel like it was just the other day when we were showing off the QKD new releases. This week is a color challenge -- use blue, green, and orange and use any stamp, other than a new release! You should have hopped here from first the QKD blog stopping by the Dark Ink Sorority blog. For my stamp, I decided on the We Scream for Ice Cream stamp set. And the good thing is you can pick up this set for 40% off with several other sets that are currently on sale through March 30.

The papers that I used are all from previous QKD Royal Kits. Have you checked out the one from March? Mine is sitting at the post office and I am off to pick it up asap!!! There are only two kits left, and I also want to let you in that on Wednesday there is a special release featuring Dark Ink Sorority! I can't wait!!! So, until then, don't forget that Tuesday is the other half of the QKD DT's projects. I can't wait to see them, and now, it is time to hop over to Wynneth's blog. New Releases Part 2 - QKD

Queen Kat Designs has done it again! Vicki and all the stamp designers have come up with some fabulous new designs for this month and so many of them feature fun designs inspired by Alice in Wonderland!!

Okay, did you start from the beginning of the hop at the QKD blog. If you did you found the "dark side" of QKD -- the Dark Ink Sorority! If you like your stamps a little grungy, a little punk, then this is the place for you. That is why I love QKD so much!!!
